2015 marked the 30th anniversary of that fateful day of May 31st.1985, when the tornado hit and changed Barrie and its people forever. Many have privately told their stories of loss, survival, the search and rescue efforts, and how the community rallied. There’s never been a collective opportunity to share these stories or to acknowledge those who helped in so many ways. Judith Banville presents her unique collection of stories of that day through incredible tales and pictures. Judith is a personal historian who believes everyone has a story. She organizes free Show & Tell Simcoe County events to provide opportunities for everyone to share their stories and bring communities together. Through her business, Word Portraits, she helps people preserve the stories and pictures of their lives in books to leave a very special legacy for family and friends.
