A message from our President, Chris Cable

Dear reader

This is my last message as President of Mountain View and it has been my great pleasure and privilege to serve our Club for this past year. I especially want to recognize the incredible volunteer commitment of all our outgoing Management Team members. From untiring administrative work, to managing finances, arranging speakers, coordinating our newsletter and website, and organizing countless events and activities – your Management Team has done an outstanding job.

This month, I pass the torch onto incoming President David Heaslip and his new team. New blood will bring fresh ideas and new ways of doing things.  Something I am looking forward to, is seeing our Club move even further ahead in new and exciting ways.

It has been a great year and it has passed by so quickly! Thank you to everyone.

Chris

PROBUS CLUB OF MOUNTAIN VIEW
NOTICE OF ANNUAL GENERAL MEETING OF MEMBERS

Our Annual General Meeting will be held on Thursday, June 7, 2018.
We will meet as usual at Georgian Bay Hotel, 10 Vacation Drive, Collingwood.

The formal meeting will begin at 9:45 am. We will be celebrating and reporting on the sixth fantastic year of our club.

Treasurer, Don Godfrey, will provide us with a year-end financial report and Bob Royce will provide his independent review of our finances. Our year end is May 31, 2018. Both the year-end financial statement and independent review will be provided to members prior to the meeting in the May newsletter and in an email blast.

On behalf of the current Management Committee, Bill Meldrum will present the nominations for the coming year’s management committee for your vote.

Following the election, the meeting will be turned over to the new President and will continue with other business, such as notices of upcoming events.

A quorum of 25% of the membership is required at this meeting.
We look forward to seeing you there.
