As we conclude another successful year, we extend our sincere thanks to all members of this year’s Management Committee. We greatly appreciate the time, energy, and dedication of our volunteers whose efforts help keep our club active, vibrant, and engaging for all members.
We would also like to recognize our outgoing committee members:
- Bob Riches has served our club with distinction for the past three years, beginning as Vice-President, followed by President, and most recently as Past President. Bob, thank you for your leadership, commitment, and the many contributions you have made to our club. We also appreciate the work you continue to do in support of the Royal Canadian Legion and our community.
- Lyn Logan joined the Management Committee in April 2023 to take on the important role of Newsletter Editor. The newsletter has served as our monthly connection with members, highlighting the many activities, events, and opportunities available throughout the club. We want to acknowledge Lyn’s efforts to bring our club into the future with our new blog, creating a new and valuable way to share information and connect with members. Thank you, Lyn, for your commitment and for helping keep our club informed, connected, and engaged.
- A special thank you to Craig Podborski for his efforts in finding and arranging the many guest speakers who shared their expertise, perspectives, and inspiring stories with our members throughout the year. Thanks to Craig’s remarkable network of contacts, we enjoyed a wide variety of engaging and informative presentations. We quickly discovered that Craig seems to know everyone and has “tentacles” reaching into some very interesting corners of our community! Craig served as our Speaker Chairperson for three years. Thank you, Craig, for helping to make our meetings both informative and enjoyable.
- We are always happy to have Dale Elley-Bristow step in to help us out in any capacity. Many of you may know Dale as she leads our snowshoeing activities. This past year Dale assisted the Management Committee as back up for Secretary. Dale too, is an alumna and we appreciate all that she does for others.
