New meeting facilities

Reminder !!!

We're no longer at Georgian Bay Hotel. We have moved to New Life Church.

As you may have heard, we will no longer be meeting at Georgian Bay Hotel. Due to changes in the Hotel's business strategy they can no longer accommodate our needs for a fixed schedule for our meetings. From January we will be meeting at New Life Church. For those of you who attend GTLLI lectures or the concerts of Choralworks this location will be very familiar. With the absence of a large auditorium in Collingwood, New Life has become the go-to place for secular organizations needing a large high quality venue. They also  happen to have a state of the art A/V system, comfortable seating and large open spaces for our sign-up's and networking. They also have an elevated stage and sloped stadium-type seating so everyone will have a great view as well as being able to hear the speakers much better than at GBH

28 Tracey Lane, Collingwood, ON

Travel Club - Andalusia

Travel Club - Andalusia

David Heaslip will present highlights of the 4-weeks he and Mary McArthur spent in the southern Spanish province of Andalusia in the spring of 2018.

Andalusia, the heart of old Spain, is a wonderful travel destination filled with spectacular scenery, fascinating culture & history and delightful cities & towns. The presentation will include David & Mary’s visit to Ronda, Sevilla, various of the “white villages”, Arcos de la Frontera, Cordoba, Ubeda, Granada, Almunecar, San Jose, the hills of southern Spain, the Sierra Nevada mountains and the area’s Atlantic and Mediterranean coasts. As well, the presentation will include their experiences with cultural events, food, wine, flamenco and the bullfights. Ole!

Care Bears - reintroduced

Care Bears - reintroduced

What are Care Bears?

As an introduction to newer members and a reminder to those who have been around for a while, at last week's meeting we focused attention on this sometimes forgotten program.

If you know someone who is ill or had an operation? Let Us Know!
Care Bears....we send beautifully hand crafted greeting cards to members who might appreciate a word of encouragement, get well wishes or a condolence message. We need the help of all to inform us when a member is in need. Don't assume that someone else has informed the Care Bear team, please reach out and let us know.
