I would like to start by thanking all the members that joined us for our Probus Mountainview Zoom General Meeting in November. It was wonderful to see faces that many of us have not seen for quite some time!
Well, December is upon us and the Christmas and New Year Holidays just around the corner. Many of us will be spending the holidays very differently this year as we are being encouraged not to gather outside of our own households. Although this is disheartening, I like to think by following the guidelines now that when we are able to gather next year how very extra special it will be.
We may not be able to attend our Probus Holiday Dinner/Dance this year but what great memories we have of the ones in the past!
Although we are not able to dine and dance in person, we can raise a glass of cheer together! Your Management Team and Social Committee is inviting you to join us for a special Holiday Zoom Happy Hour Meeting on Thursday December 10th at 4pm. Perhaps be decked out in your Holiday attire!
Jim Theobald, our Speakers Chair, has arranged for Dean Hollin to provide us with some special entertainment.
A professional entertainer for nearing three decades now, Dean Hollin landed in Collingwood in 2003 as the Artistic and Managing Director of the Gayety Theatre. Upon completion of that contract he and his wife decided to make South Georgian Bay home for their young and growing family, and Dean has been a notable fixture in the Arts scene ever since. Actor, singer, director, emcee, television and radio host, teacher – Dean has had, and continues to have an impressive hand in many aspects of the performing arts.
2020 has been a rather devastating year for so many – including entertainers and theatres – Dean continues to forge ahead, exploring new ways to reach audiences. He looks forward to being with Probus Mountain View, “virtually” on December 10th for a wonderfully Christmas-themed “Happy Hour” – which he promises will be entirely “Special”
